Samayapuram Mariamman temple It is located at 20 km’s to the north of trichy town,This temple is dedicated to godess Mariamman,In this many festivals are celebrated.The godess is made of sand and clay.so there is no Abhiseham for the Moolasthanam,But there is a stone godess placed in front of moolavar.People do some mavillaku for the godess.It is made of some jaggery , rice flour &ghee. People put some raw salt in this temple.It is one of the wealthiest temple in Tamil Nadu after Palani temple.
