    Menaksh Temple is Dedicated to LorD shiva the Gord in the Form of Sundareswarar , Parvathi devi . this temple is formed 2,500 years old . the temple toeer is 51.9 meters by means of 170 ft height.

    The templs Story , acording to the Hindu legend God Shiva came down tot he earth in the form of the Sundareswarar to marry Menakshi . Menakshi had descended to earth in the frm of te small child fir the King of Malayadwaja Pandya. and parvathi growing and rule the madurai city , then lord appeared appear on the earth and proposed her ,that marriage was celebrated as the Bigest event on the earth .Vishnu Bahavan brother of menakshi , he was delayed by on the way from vigundam in the mean time the marriage was presided by mans of the god Koodal Azhaghar this Function is celebrated as the 'Chitirai Thiruvizha'the history of the temples is no one known exactly .

    Porthamarai Kulam: This pond is located inside the temple that pond is called s the Porthamarai Kulam People go around the 165 ft (50 m) by 120 ft (37 m)[3] lake before entering the main shrine. The name means the Pond with the Golden Lotus, and the lotus that grows in it has a golden color.

    Thousand Pillar Hall This temple was build by means of taken the Model as Nellaiappar Temple in Tirunelveli Thousand Pillar Hall contains 985 (instead of 1000) carved pillars. It is considered culturally important and is maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India. The Thousand Pillared Hall was built by Ariyanatha Mudaliar in 1569[7]. There is a Temple Art Museum in the hall where icons, photographs, drawings, and other exhibits of the 1200 years old history are displayed. Just outside this mandapam, towards the west, are the Musical Pillars. Each pillar, when struck, produces a different musical note. The kalyana mandapa, to the south of the pillared hall, is where the marriage of Shiva and Parvati is celebrated every year during the Chithirai Festival in mid-April.
