About Mullaperiyar dam Issue
Muallperiyar dam is not big issue,
Getting benefits from Dam for those states,
For Kerala,
1. from the FISH , nearly 300 Crore INR getting revenue from this
2. And Contract amount from Tamilnadu Govt
For Tamilnadu,
1. agriculture and getting revenue nearly 300 Crore and nearly 80 lacks peoples for drinking water.
2. Electricity
Issue :-
Kerala stands, thats a old dam, so thats not safe, so need to make new dam with new agreement with Tamilnadu, thats mean they try to break the exiting agreement ( 999 years ).
Tamilnadu stands, the dam is very strong, also its reconstructed has been done on 1996, so no need to rebuild new dam instead of that.
As per Supreme court, also said dam is strong but Kerala Govt is not ready to accepted that.
